GEOL 701J - Advanced Geology (1 to 6 units) Consists of either lectures, periodic conferences, supervised reading, laboratory or field work. May be repeated more than once to pursue different studies.

Grading Basis: Graded Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. read and critically evaluate relevant scientific literature in the specific topic area of the advanced geology section taken. 2. demonstrate an advanced level of competency in the specific topic area of the advanced geology section taken. 3. discuss the relationship of a specialized area of geomorphology in the broader context of the field and to their own research interests.
