GEOL 781 - Advanced Surface Water Hydrology (3 units) Theory and application of rainfall-runoff modeling including the use of large hydrometeorologic databases and statistics to identify design precipitation events.
Grading Basis: Graded Units of Lecture: 3 Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. explain atmospheric and hydrologic phenomena and how the systems are coupled. 2. describe these processes in terms of conservation equations. 3. solve these equations analytically/numerically. 4. synthesize the acquired knowledge to explain more complex hydroclimatic processes at the basin scale.
