HIST 411 - US Colnl Period- 1750 (3 units) Origins of the North American colonies; development of colonial society, culture and institutions; international rivalry for North American supremacy.
Grading Basis: Graded Units of Lecture: 3 Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. analyze, evaluate, and interpret primary sources. 2. analyze and clearly explain the argument, main points, and use of evidence in secondary sources. 3. clearly and effectively articulate an original interpretation in verbal and written form. 4. identify key events, issues, and policies related to the origins of the North American Colonies; the development of colonial society, culture and institutions; and international rivalry for North American supremacy.
