Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. analyze, evaluate, and interpret primary sources.
2. analyze and clearly explain the argument, main points, and use of evidence in secondary sources.
3. clearly and effectively articulate an original interpretation in verbal and written form.
4. identify nand analyze the roots and practices of Native American and African folk religions, including the political role of the Catholic Church and Protestantism.
