HIST 465A - Culture and Society in 19th Century Great Britain (3 units) Political and cultural life of the British Isles; emphasizes industrialization, colonialism, feminism, liberalism, and socialism.
Grading Basis: Graded Units of Lecture: 3 Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. analyze, evaluate, and interpret primary sources. 2. analyze and clearly explain the argument, main points, and use of evidence in secondary sources. 3. clearly and effectively articulate an original interpretation in verbal and written form. 4. identify key events, issues, and policies related to the political and cultural life of the British Isles: Industrialization, Colonialism, Feminism, Liberalism, and Socialism.
