Introduction to issues, methods, and faculty members. Required of all history graduate students.

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. interview professors in the history department about their research and paths towards professionalization.
2. analyze a variety of historical methods to develop their research skills.
3. demonstrate professionalism and skills for careers in history.
