JOUR 723 - Media Entrepreneurship (3 units) Starting and running new media companies, including identifying and evaluating business opportunities, choosing a revenue model, forming a team, creating a prototype, and seeking capital.
Recommended Preparation: Enroll during the final semester of graduate study.

Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. identify media business opportunities. 2. evaluate a media business opportunity’s chance of success. 3. explain the value of a media business opportunity to potential customers and investors. 4. enumerate the pros and cons of the entrepreneurial life.
