MIL 101 - Introduction to the Army (1 unit) Course focuses on introducing Cadets to the Army, critical thinking, and the Profession of Arms. Students will examine the Army Profession and what it means to be a professional in the U.S. Army.
Grading Basis: Graded Units of Lecture: 1 Offered: Every Fall
Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. identify and analyze an ethical issue in context to the United States Army. 2. demonstrate a basic knowledge of US Military Customs, Courtesies and Traditions. 3. write coherently and observe the standards of academic English. 4. identify the three types of learners: Visual, Auditory, and Tactile/ Kinesthetic. 5. improve the physical and psychological health, resiliency of the Soldiers, their Families and Department of the Army Civilians. 6. demonstrate an understanding of the goal setting process and identify key points that underlie setting effective goals and how to implement a time management plan. 7. define Critical Thinking and utilize Critical Thinking Skills to analyze the logic and reason of a written article.
