MUS 233 - Recording Techniques and Midi I (2 units) Electronic music, analog and digital. Includes techniques of electro-acoustical recording (tape and computer sequencing).

Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. examine the evolution of recording technologies, how the ear works, fundamental acoustics, analog vs. digital recording media, console design and signal flow and microphone design, features and applications. 2. develop critical hearing skills through structured listening tests.
