MUS 364 - Instrumental Conducting (2 units) Technique of the baton and score reading. Practical leadership experience may be gained by directing the band, orchestra, or ensembles.
Prerequisite(s): MUS 362 .
Grading Basis: Graded Units of Lecture: 2 Offered: Every Spring - Odd Years
Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. demonstrate clear conducting patterns in instrumental music. 2. analyze an orchestral score. 3. explain through gesture and instrumental technique how to create a blended sound.
