Organization of bands, orchestra, instrumental ensembles in the public schools; materials, techniques and problems.

Prerequisite(s): MUS 204 ; participation in band, choir, or orchestra; successful completion of Praxis I Core Academic Skills for Educators exam.

Student Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. demonstrate understanding of the basic organizational properties of bands, orchestra, instrumental ensembles in the public schools.
2. identify common organizational problems in public school music programs.
3. demonstrate knowledge of the materials and techniques related to public school music programs.
