Exploration of the impact of the cultural environment on techniques of television music production, focusing on specific genres and eras.

Student Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. demonstrate familiarity with the current state of research in media studies.
2. make connections between and apply theories from cultural studies, music, theater, history, and media courses in the context of your study of television music.
3. will be able to demonstrate their writing ability, through weekly papers and large format papers.
4. demonstrate ability to synthesize information, use critical analysis of the works under discussion, and interpret these artworks in an articulate, nuanced manner.
