MUS 649 - Advanced Choral Methods (2 units) Demonstration and lecture on aspects of vocal technique and organization involved in directing high school and college choruses.
Grading Basis: Graded Units of Lecture: 2 Offered: Every Fall and Spring
Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. demonstrate aspects of vocal techique involved in directing high school choirs at a professional level. 2. sing and teach a variety of warm ups, songs, pieces, and activities appropriate for a choral music program between grades 6-12. 3. create and implement clearly written, age-appropriate lesson plans intended for use in the choral classroom.
