NRES 765 - Biogeochemical Cycles (3 units) Cycling of constituents between the hydrosphere, lithosphere, atmosphere and biosphere, and anthropogenic perturbations of these cycles.

Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. discuss local, regional, and global biogeochemical cycles of many elements and the processes governing the movement of these elements between the lithosphere, hydrosphere, atmosphere, and biosphere. 2. critique, appraise, and assess the scientific literature. 3. organize, analyze, and debate issues regarding presentation of scientific information, and place scientific details within a broader context.
