NURS 414 - Concepts & Theories of Professional Nursing (4 units) Historical and current perspectives, concepts and theories of professional nursing practice.
Prerequisite(s): Admission to RN-BSN major.
Grading Basis: Graded Units of Lecture: 4 Offered: Every Fall and Spring
Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. review relationships of legal, regulatory, ethical, and professional standards which impact professional nursing practice. 2. critically analyze the concepts of nursing theory, theorists, philosophy, and practice in professional nursing. 3. incorporate American Psychological Association (APA) formatting & rules to all paperwork.
