SOC 363 - Contemporary Issues in Social Psychology (3 units) Consideration of selected topics in social psychology.
Prerequisite(s): SOC 101 .
Grading Basis: Graded Units of Lecture: 3 Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. identify central concepts and ideas pertaining to the contemporary issues discussed in the course, and apply theories from previous courses in psychology and/or sociology. 2. discuss current controversies in research on the contemporary issues discussed in this course, and analyze the strengths and weaknesses of different perspectives on these issues. 3. analyze the implications of current controversies in social psychology for applied setting.
