THTR 349 - Costuming Practicum (1 to 3 units) Specialized study related to construction of garments, building of accessories, shop management and/or maintenance of wardrobe in theory and practice.

Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. demonstrate an understanding of the basic parts of a pattern, and apply this knowledge to the tasks of constructing a garment from a pattern as well as creating one from scratch. 2. demonstrate the ability to create a professional quality website that includes information necessary for entering the job market, displaying creative work, and providing a venue through which employers may communicate with the student artist and/or assess the student’s work. 3. design costumes for a given production by creating renderings based on complete and appropriate research.
