HIST 290 - The Roaring Twenties (3 units) Study of American society and culture in the 1920s through the interrelated topics of consumerism, youth culture, the role of the U.S. in the world, and shifting definitions of race and gender.

Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. analyze and interpret primary sources in different forms, including documents, film, popular media, photographs, and autobiography. 2. critically read secondary sources from multiple disciplines and identify the argument, main points, and use of evidence. 3. form an original historical argument and logically support it with evidence from primary and secondary sources. 4. describe and analyze the major transformations of the 1920s.
