PED 466 - Methods of Teaching Adaptive Physical Education (3 units) Designed to provide an understanding of the challenges for people not only across the lifespan but also those with innate challenges to be regularly physically active.
Prerequisite(s): CHS 370 ; CHS 371 ; PSY 240 .
Grading Basis: Graded Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Fall
Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. describe the challenges of encouraging people to become and remain active. 2. develop programs to overcome the challenges from above. 3. develop programs consistent with each person’s goals and capabilities. 4. promote and maintain successful physical activity programming for diverse individuals in different settings and situations.
