MGT 470 - Compensation (3 Units) Analysis of manager and worker jobs in private and public organizations and the social, psychological, economic, and legal influences that affect their compensation.
Prerequisite(s): Admission to a business major; at least Junior standing; MGT 367 .
Grading Basis: Graded Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Fall and Spring
Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. discuss the effect of compensation on attraction and retention of employees, occupational choice, job performance, and job satisfaction. 2. discuss compensation management practices. 3. discuss government and union influences on pay practices along with special compensation.
