CS 436 - Big Data Systems (3 units) This course offers an advanced study of state-of-the-art big data techniques and applications and focuses on the tools and systems for big data analytics.
Prerequisite(s): CS 302 with a “C” or better; STAT 352 or STAT 461 with a “C” or better.
Grading Basis: Graded Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Spring
Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. communicate effectively in a variety of professional contexts, with a range of audiences. 2. develop and conduct appropriate experimentation, analyze and interpret data, and use engineering judgment to draw conclusions.
