HIST 607 - The Global Cold War (3 units) After a general introduction to the theme, the course focuses on one country or region at a time in a chronological study of Cold War hot-spots. Ending with discussion of the ways in which the Cold War has influenced current debates and challenges.
Grading Basis: Graded Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Spring - Even Years
Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. analyze the different local, national, and international contexts involved in the Cold War. 2. identify the major events and actors involved in the Cold War. 3. evaluate and explain historical interpretations of the Cold War.
