HIST 499B - Applied History 3 units (CO14) Independent study integrating and applying historical research, analysis, and presentation skills.
Prerequisite(s): HIST 300 or HIST 300A plus at least 6 additional HIST units at 300-level or above.
Grading Basis: Graded Units of Independent Study: 3 Offered: Every Fall and Spring
Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. articulate an original research question to investigate through historical research. 2. find, analyze, and draw reasoned conclusions from primary and secondary sources. 3. express ideas clearly and persuasively, orally and in written, digital, or visual form. 4. synthesize research findings and present them in a manner appropriate to a general audience.
