CEE 472 - Construction Estimating (3 units) Material takeoff processes and estimating, using a methodical approach with suggested check lists and techniques for arriving at a reliable estimate of the cost of a construction task or project, to include direct, indirect, and contingency costs and profits. (CEE 472 and CEM 451 are cross-listed; credits may be earned in one of the two.)
Corequisite(s): ACC 201 or CEE 388 ; Junior or Senior Standing. Recommended Preparation: CEE 460 .
Grading Basis: Graded Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Fall
Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science, and mathematics. 2. recognize ethical and professional responsibilities in engineering situations and make informed judgments, which must consider the impact of engineering solutions in global, economic, environmental, and societal contexts.
