BME 481 - Image Analysis (3 units) Designed to provide basic skills in image analysis to prepare students to solve real world problems and pursue independent research. Students will be introduced to emerging topics of high value in the commercial and research sectors. (BME 481 and EE 481 are cross-listed; credits may be earned in one of the two.)
Prerequisite(s): EE 291 ; EE 362 ; MATH 283 with “C” or better.
Grading Basis: Graded Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Fall
Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science, and mathematics. 2. apply engineering design to produce solutions that meet specified needs with consideration of public health, safety, and welfare, as well as global, cultural, social, environmental, and economic factors. 3. develop and conduct appropriate experimentation, analyze and interpret data, and use engineering judgment to draw conclusions.
