Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. identify the major theories of race and ethnic relations and explain these within the context of American society. 2. identify the root causes of racism and ethnocentrism and understand the various manifestations of racial oppression in society. 3. explain the relationship between race/ethnicity, gender, and class, in society and their intersectionality.
