Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. apply theoretical concepts presented in their introductory chemistry and biology lecture courses to practice in a laboratory setting. 2. demonstrate the ability to separate, characterize and quantify biological macromolecules using chromatographic and spectrophotometric approaches. 3. demonstrate mastery of the calculations and laboratory manipulations required to prepare chemical solutions and buffers. 4. apply the appropriate statistical and mathematical approaches to analyze data and appraise experimental results. 5. prepare written reports that comply with standard scientific formats.
