STAT 735 - Linear Models I (3 units) Covers theory underlying linear statistical models and provides the theoretical foundation for understanding many advanced statistical methods and for doing methodological research in statistics.
Prerequisite(s): STAT 652 ; STAT 667 or STAT 726 .
Grading Basis: Graded Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Fall
Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. demonstrate an understanding of the theoretical basis of statistical methods for linear models. 2. build a foundation for all statistical modeling, including generalized linear models, nonlinear models, and time series analysis. 3. apply appropriate statistical models to address research questions and hypotheses.
