EDSP 728 - Ethics in Special Education and Behavior Analysis (3 units) Examination of historical circumstances that gave rise to rules and regulations that govern behavior analysts today. Review of BACB code of ethics and how it relates to the present practice of behavior analysis in the context of special education.
Grading Basis: Graded Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Summer
Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. label and describe each component of the Professional and Ethical Code for Behavior Analysts. 2. apply the knowledge, perspectives, principles, and types of reasoning discussed in this course in the context of ethical practices for behavior analysts and other professionals relevant to special education. 3. relate real-world examples to class content.
