ANTH 470 - Gender and Migration: Women, Men, and Global Movement (3 units) CO10, CO11 Examines how gender influences and is shaped by processes of migration and global movement. (ANTH 470 and WMST 470 are cross-listed; credit may be earned in one of the two.)
Prerequisite(s): Junior or Senior standing.
Grading Basis: Graded Units of Lecture: 3 Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. explain how gender shapes and is impacted by diverse forms of global movement. 2. conduct research that draw on ethnographic scholarship and media representations of current events around the globe. 3. formulate and articulate arguments that synthesize course material. 4. communicate diverse theoretical frameworks and ethnographic examples through writing assignments and class discussion.
