Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. identify the challenges and possibilities that the changing school demographics pose on education/educators. 2. recognize the connections between culture, identity, and education. 3. critically examine the current leading discussions on globalization and citizenship and develop a framework for attending to the needs of culturally diverse students. 4. demonstrate ability to translate into practice key elements of multicultural education theory. 5. demonstrate expertise in an area of multicultural education theory or practice of special relevance to you. 6. document ongoing growth as a reflective practitioner engaged in lifelong learning and discovery.
