PSC 490F - Internship: Public Service (1 to 12 units) CO14 The Public Service Internship Program is designed to give interested and qualified students an opportunity to serve as an intern at public, non-profit, research, or approved private organizations in the community.
Maximum units a student may earn: 12
Prerequisite(s): Political Science or International Affairs major.
Grading Basis: Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory Offered: Every Fall, Spring, and Summer
Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. demonstrate first-hand knowledge of the inner workings of public, non-profit, or private organization in the community. 2. explain the day-to-day workings of the chosen organization, including how the organization achieves its goals, how it interacts with the community, and how it interacts with State and local government. 3. apply knowledge and skills gained from classes in Political Science and related areas.
