PSC 490G - Internship: Congressional (3 to 6 units) CO14 The Congressional Internship Program is designed to give students first-hand experience of the inner workings of the United States Congress.
Maximum units a student may earn: 6
Prerequisite(s): Political Science or International Affairs major.
Grading Basis: Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory Offered: Every Fall, Spring, and Summer
Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. demonstrate first-hand knowledge of the inner workings of US Congress. 2. explain the legislative process of the United States, including the policy process, how policy research is conducted, and the interactions of the branches of government. 3. apply knowledge and skills gained from classes in Political Science and related areas to the legislative and policy development processes.
