Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. identify the role of narratives in shaping the meanings and social construction of identity and difference. 2. apply an intersectional analysis of race, gender, sexuality, or related concerns to understanding narratives of identity and difference. 3. analyze how narratives can be used to create, uphold, dismantle, or transform social or cultural structures of difference, inequity, or power. 4. synthesize course concepts by analyzing a significant cultural narrative about identity or difference.
