SRJS 492 - Internship (3 units) CO14 Supervised work and learning experience in non-profit, public, education, business, or government organizations. Includes required on-campus seminar.

Prerequisite(s): Junior standing; COM, CRJ, or SOC major or minor with 12 credits; 3.0 GPA.
Grading Basis: Graded Units of Lecture: 1 Units of Internship/Practicum: 2 Offered: Every Fall and Spring
Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. apply social research and/or justice studies concepts and principles in their work. 2. describe the organizational culture and norms of the work site. 3. identify and practice appropriate work-related behaviors and responsibilities at their work site. 4. explain the value of justice and respect for diversity. 5. discuss professional development issues and ethics. 6. evaluate their own areas of strength and improvement. 7. combine critical thinking and analytical skills related to workplace issues.
