KIN 666 - Methods of Teaching Adaptive Physical Education (3 units) Designed to provide an understanding of the challenges for people not only across the lifespan but also those with innate challenges to be regularly physically active.

Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. describe the challenges of encouraging people to become and remain active. 2. develop programs to overcome the challenges of encouraging people to become and remain active. 3. develop programs consistent with each person’s goals and capabilities. 4. demonstrate the ability to promote and maintain successful physical activity programming for diverse individuals in different settings and situations. 5. design programs to promote exercise and physical activity to improve health, fitness, performance and quality of life for all people of all ages.
