Student Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. perform comprehensive lower‑extremity examinations and synthesize findings into a working diagnosis and plan of care.
2. select and justify diagnostic adjuncts and integrate imaging/diagnostic reports into decision‑making.
3. integrate evidence and ICF to set goals, select interventions, and use PROs to monitor outcomes.
4. demonstrate safe, effective taping, bracing, splinting, and assistive device selection/fit.
5. apply clinical decision rules for acute conditions, including triage, immobilization, and referral.
6. document care in an EHR with appropriate coding and privacy safeguards.
7. communicate effectively with patients and interprofessional team members, integrating health literacy and SDOH. (CAATE 59, 57, 61, 58)
