SPAN 211 - Second Year Spanish I (3 units) Study at the intermediate level of Spanish language structures and culture with continued emphasis on proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
Prerequisite(s): SPAN 112 or a Spanish Placement score of 320 or higher.
Units of Lecture: 3 Offered Every Fall, Spring, and Summer Student Learning Outcomes (if available): Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will be able to give directions and orders. 2. Students will be able to talk about feelings and uncertainty. 3. Students will be able to discuss wishes and desires. 4. Students will be able to express hypothetical events. 5. Students will be able to produce written and spoken dialogue about past experience. 6. Students will be able to identify geography and culture of selected Spanish-speaking countries. 7. Students will be able to compare U.S. and Hispanic/Latin cultures in regards to technology, the arts, living in the country, automobiles, sentimental relationships, stages of life, and how news and the government function.
