II. Description

Students majoring in another field may minor in philosophy by completing the requirements outlined below for the philosophy ethics, law, and politics minor. Philosophy majors may not use either philosophy minor to fulfill their minor requirement. At least nine units of 300-400 level courses are required.

A. Group A–at least four courses (12 units)

PHIL 318 - History of Political Philosophy (3 units)
PHIL 450 - Ethical Theory (3 units) CO12
PHIL 453 - Topics in Philosophy of Law (3 units) CO8
PHIL 454 - Global Ethics and Justice (3 units) CO11, CO12
PHIL 457 - Political Philosophy (3 units) CO12, CO14

With advisor approval, any 400-level history of philosophy course focusing on ethics, law, or politics.

With advisor approval, any 400-level metaphysics, epistemology, or history and philosophy of science course focusing on ethics, law, and politics.

B. Group B– At least two of the following courses (6 units)
