II. Description

This degree gives the student both classroom and production opportunities which develop scholarly and practical skills in theatre arts including acting, directing, designing and other areas of technical theatre, and children’s theatre.

III. Program Requirements (21 units)

Students majoring in another field may minor in Theatre by completing the following:

A. Required Courses (9 units)

THTR 100 - Introduction to the Theatre (3 units) CO7
THTR 105 - Introduction to Acting I (3 units) CO7
THTR 208 - Stagecraft Practicum (1 unit)
THTR 208B - Backstage Technician Practicum (1 unit)
THTR 208C - Costume Construction Practicum (1 unit)

B. Additional units (12 units)

At least 9 of these additional THTR units must be in courses numbered 300-499.
