Description

Students who select a pre-nursing course of study are placed in both pre-nursing and Community Health Sciences (Public Health).  Pre-nursing students will progress in the CHS program while completing the Silver Core General Education requirements and nursing prerequisites. Only students whose Silver Core General Education requirements and Pre-Nursing prerequisites have been completed or are in-progress may apply for admission to the nursing program. A “C” is the minimum grade required in all coursework used to satisfy requirements for the nursing degree. Admission to the B.S.N. program is highly competitive and is not guaranteed to students who successfully complete the course of study described below.

Following the Nursing program application process, students who are admitted must complete all of the requirements for the Nursing, B.S.N.  prior to posting of their degree.

Students who are not admitted to the B.S.N. program may work toward completion of the Community Health Sciences (Public Health), B.S.  or work with their advisor to pursue an alternative degree.
