The bachelor of science in Kinesiology (KIN) is designed to prepare students for careers in the health and fitness fields and graduate education in exercise sciences, pre-professional schools (physical therapy, occupational therapy, as well as dental and medical schools), and physical education.

The program of study will include the University Core Curriculum, general electives, and required preparatory courses in the study of the human body. Students will be required to complete four core courses in Public Health. These four core courses to meet accredition requirements by Council of Schools of Public Health (CEPH).  

Student Learning Outcomes


Students will be able to:

  • Describe and analyze an individual’s body structure and physical capacity while undergoing human movement.
  • Communicate health information, in both oral and written forms and through a variety of media, to diverse audiences.
  • Locate, use, evaluate, and synthesize health information.
  • Use and interpret health data.
