Students majoring in another field may minor in General Philosophy by completing the requirements outlined below. Philosophy majors may not use either philosophy minor to fulfill their minor requirements.

I. Program Requirements (18 units)
- Minor GPA| 2. 0
- Minor Upper-Division Units| 9
- Minor Residency Requirement| 6 Upper-Division Units in the minor at UNR
- Unit Limits: Per College of Liberal Arts policy, no more than 9 units counted toward any major may be reused to meet the requirements of this minor.
A. Required Introductory Courses (6 units)
B. Group A–History of Philosophy and Metaphysics & Epistemology (6 units)
C. Group B–Ethics and Value Theory (3 units)
D. Additional units in Philosophy (3 units)
Any PHIL course numbered 100-499 not already used to satisfy the requirements of sections A through C above may be counted toward the elective requirement. Refer to the Course Descriptions chapter of this catalog for a full list of PHIL courses.
