Students majoring in another field may minor in philosophy by completing the requirements outlined below for the philosophy ethics, law, and politics minor. Philosophy majors may not use either philosophy minor to fulfill their minor requirement. At least nine units of 300-400 level courses are required.

I. Program Requirements (18 units)
- Minor GPA| 2. 0
- Minor Upper-Division Units| 9
- Minor Residency Requirement| 6 Upper-Division Units in the minor at UNR
- Unit Limits: Per College of Liberal Arts policy, no more than 9 units counted toward any major may be reused to meet the requirements of this minor.
A. Group A–at least four courses (12 units)
Note(s):
With advisor approval, any 400-level history of philosophy course focusing on ethics, law, or politics.
With advisor approval, any 400-level metaphysics, epistemology, or history and philosophy of science course focusing on ethics, law, and politics. B. Group B– At least two of the following courses (6 units)
