To ensure a successful transition to the University and graduation in four years, students must work with academic advisors at UNR and HCC throughout their career.
It is not necessary to meet all lower-division Core Curriculum requirements at a community college before transferring to the University. Courses not listed may be evaluated on an individual basis. UNR’s general (not college or major specific) lower-division Core requirements will be waived for students who complete the Texas Common Core INCLUDING one laboratory science course. Completion of the Texas Common Core must be certified on an official transcript or in an accompanying memo from HCC.
