Civil Engineering, Minor

This program focuses on teaching students to apply their scientific and engineering knowledge to the design, construction, and maintenance of civil infrastructure projects. Civil engineers work with structural and building systems, bridges, foundations, water treatment and conveyance systems, pavement engineering, and urban transportation systems. Students learn to make decisions about engineering and design aspects that take social, economic, and environmental concerns into account.

I. Program Requirements (18 units)
At least 18 units of formal courses must be completed. No more than 9 units may also be used toward any other degree requirements.
In addition to the general university requirements of at least a “C” (2.0) GPA for graduation, all students enrolled in the Civil Engineering minor must earn at least a “C” in those minor courses designated with an asterisk (*) and a “C” average for all courses used to satisfy the minor requirements.
