Shasta College: Silver Core Curriculum Transfer Agreement

- A candidate for a bachelor’s degree must earn a minimum of 120 units, at least 40 of which must be in courses numbered 300 or above. A minimum of 30 units (300-level or above) must be taken in residence at the University of Nevada, Reno.

Silver Core General Education Requirements
Complete the courses listed below at Shasta College to meet the General Education requirements for your major program at the University of Nevada, Reno.
NOTE: Refer to the Core Curriculum chapter of this catalog for information regarding the “Core English and Math Completion Policy.”
Silver Core Writing (3-6 units) - CO1, CO3
- UNR ENG 101: ENGL 1A
- UNR ENG 102: ENGL 1B or 1C
Note: Students who place in ENGL 1B or 1C are not required to complete ENGL 1A.
Silver Core Mathematics (3 units minimum) - CO2

Silver Core Natural Sciences (6 units minimum) - CO4, CO4L

- CH 201 substitution: ENG 10A, HIST 1A, HIST 2 OR
- CH 202 substitution: ENG 10B, HISY 1B, HIST 3
United States and Nevada Constitutions (3 units)
- CH 203 substitution: HIST 17A or POLS 2 and one of the following must be completed at UNR for CH 203 credit: HIST 217, PSC 100
Note: After matriculation to the University of Nevada, Reno, students may not take substitute courses for Core Humanities. Students must satisfy any remaining CH requirements by completing the required CH courses.
