Upon completion of this course:
1. Students will be able to assess and analyze linguistic problems in syntactic structure in English and a limited set of other languages.
2. Students will be able to apply linguistic principles and theories to language data from English and a limited set of other languages.
3. Students will demonstrate and synthesize advanced knowledge and skills in syntactic theory and analysis.
