CHS 732 - Mixed Methods Research in Public Health (3 units) Explores the application of mixed methods research in public health, including methods for collecting, analyzing, integrating, and reporting mixed methods data.
Prerequisite(s): CHS 745 .
Grading Basis: Graded Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Spring
Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. critically evaluate and synthesize scientific literature. 2. develop original research hypotheses and research questions that will advance public health knowledge. 3. evaluate, justify, and apply appropriate methodological and analytical approaches to address public health research questions. 4. effectively defend research methodology and findings through concise scientific writing and oral presentations. 5. demonstrate an understanding of the fundamental principles for designing and implementing mixed methods studies.
