GEOG 413 - Application of UAS technologies in Geography (4 units) Use and application of UAS (Drone) technologies in GIS. Course focuses on the operation of commonly available UAS systems, the rules and regulations covering the use of these systems, and data products and analyses taken from UAS missions.
Prerequisite(s): GEOG 407 .
Grading Basis: Graded Units of Lecture: 3 Units of Laboratory/Studio: 1 Offered: Every Spring
Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. safely plan and legally operate UAS field data collection operations. 2. use UAS data to solve problems within their area of interest. 3. communicate the results and findings of geo-spatial analyses of UAS data in written, verbal, or graphical formats.
